I know it’s the beginning of the week but that doesn’t mean our sweet cravings stop because it’s monday 😉 This recipe is so easy to make, uses super healthy ingredients and tastes like absolute heaven. You can leave out the honey if you require a very healthy dessert. It is a great way to curb your sweet cravings and acts as the perfect solution to end a delicious meal and the basil adds THE most delicious liquorice flavour to the dish.
INGREDIENTS
1 punnet fresh figs, halved
Runny honey
1 tub fat-free/low-fat plain yogurt
1 small packet of oat meal/ digestive biscuits
1/2 a slab of Lindt dark chocolate with caramel and sea salt, broken into bite-sized bits
1 punnet fresh berries (I used raspberries)
A handful of fresh basil
METHOD
Serves 5-6
Preparation 5 minutes
Cooking time 5 minutes
Place a griddle pan or frying pan on high heat, cut the figs in half and place them on the hot pan. Grill for 1 minute, then add as much honey as you like, I added just enough to coat the whole fig.
While the figs are grilling, break up 1-2 biscuits and distribute the crumbs into seperate bowls. Add 1-2 tablespoons of yogurt, the grilled fig, raspberries and chocolate, top with basil leaves a tiny dollops of honey, serve immediately.
