And no I’m not talking about the dogs 😉

For those of you who haven’t eaten Yorkshire puddings, you have not lived.

Yorkies are a kind of pudding that is baked in the oven, and are typically eaten with roast beef. They act as your own little gravy boat, soaking up all the beautiful flavours on your plate. So next time you having a Sunday roast, don’t forget to cook these little babies.

2 free-range large eggs, room temperature
150 ml milk
150 ml all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
Sunflower oil

Serves 5 people
Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 12-15 minutes

Preheat the oven to 225°C.

Take out a 12 compartment cupcake tin and add a tiny splash of sunflower oil to each compartment. Once the oven has reached temperature, place the tin in the oven for about 15 minutes.

In a food blender mix together the eggs, flour, milk and salt until light and smooth.

Once the oil has heated up, confidently pour the batter into the individual compartments and place in the oven. Cook for 12-15 minutes, or until they have risen and are beautifully golden.

Serve immediately.
