I always take it for granted that my readers have all the cooking essentials in their pantry, but that’s just silly. Once you get the hang of cooking, there is no turning back. It is a great way to wind down after a long day of work; it is definitely my therapy. I turn on some music, usually Black Sabbath, put some slippers on and get lost in the kitchen. However, if you don’t have the pantry essentials your “therapy session” could turn into a disaster.
In order to prevent a kitchen disaster, you have to stock our pantry and cupboards with the right kitchen equipment, basic ingredients and condiments. The items in this pantry checklist are really important as they make your food taste amazing and you have the option of making any kind of cuisine you feel like, with just a few spices and non-perishables.
The moral of the story: Non-perishable foods are your friends! Having these basics will allow you to do more exciting things with your food. Don’t be afraid of using tinned or frozen foods, they will make cooking during the week a breeze.
So before you go shopping, print out this list, and buy everything on it. Don’t worry it won’t cost you an arm and a leg, after all it is an investment as nothing will go off.
Buy the list and take your cooking skills up a notch ❤
