I call it the Green Goddess Smoothie because the combination of delicious flavours, energy-boosting ingredients and nutrition superpowers will make you glow from the inside out.
INGREDIENTS
40g pumpkin seeds
1 lemon, peeled
1 tsp chia seeds
½ a green apple, cored and roughly chopped
½ a cup fresh basil leaves
½ a cucumber, chopped
225ml water
200g ice
1 tsp xylitol
Vanilla essence
Cinnamon
METHOD
Serves 1
Makes about 1 large serving or 2 smaller servings
Blend pumpkin seeds in a blender/liquidizer. Then add the other ingredients and blend until smooth. Add a teaspoon of xylitol, a drop of vanilla essence and a pinch of cinnamon to taste.
