This salad is the perfect accompaniment to any Asian or non-Asian inspired meal.
INGREDIENTS
1 medium red cabbage, shredded
3 spring onions, chopped
3 tbsp sprouts
Handful of fresh basil
2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
For the dressing:
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1.5 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
2 tbsp lime juice
1/2 red chilli, finely diced
1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
METHOD
Serves 4
Add all the salad ingredients into a big bowl.
Then place a small saucepan on high heat and add the rice wine vinegar, fish sauce, brown sugar, garlic, lime juice and bring to the boil.
Once cooled add the chopped chili and coriander. Dress the salad and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
